Intrinsyc Software Showcases Soleus™ Version 1.0 on Freescale’s i.MX31 Applications Processor

Intrinsyc Develops Reference Designs To Help Speed Time to Market and Reduce The Cost of Building Handsets

3GSM World Congress, Barcelona, Spain – February 13, 2007 – Intrinsyc Software International, Inc., (TSX:ICS) an industry leader in providing winning mobility software and services, today announced it will showcase its Soleus™ development platform on a reference design using Freescale Semiconductor's popular i.MX31 multimedia applications processor.

To see this demonstration, 3GSM delegates and attendees can visit Freescale’s booth located at Hall 8, stand 8B91. They can also learn more about the Soleus™ development platform and see additional demonstrations of the solution at Intrinsyc at 3GSM, Hall 2, Booth 2E17.

“Converged handsets with multimedia capabilities on par with today’s leading PMPs will soon be the norm,” said Monica Hamilton, Director of Freescale’s Wireless Developer Network. “Basing the Soleus™ development platform on the i.MX31 processor, the multimedia engine in leading PMPs today, provides handset manufacturers a fast path to delivering robust multimedia handsets at very attractive price points.”

The Soleus™ platform is complete mobile handset software built on Microsoft® Windows® Embedded CE, with pre-certified telephony and a large application portfolio designed specifically to address the consumer handset opportunity.

“Intrinsyc is pleased with the support that the Soleus™ platform is garnering from leading silicon vendors in the mobile industry,” said Randy Kath, CTO, Intrinsyc. “By pre-integrating Soleus with Freescale’s i.MX31 applications processor, OEMs are now able to more quickly and easily evaluate and bring new handsets to market. This is important as there is increasing demand to cut time to market when producing converged mobile devices.”

Intrinsyc CTO Randy Kath went on to explain that “many of our [Intrinsyc’s] customers are looking to us to help them navigate the industry’s transition to next generation devices that require a high-level operating system. We are well poised to do this with both our engineering services capabilities, as well as the Soleus™ software platform.”
